After a two-year postponement, the 2022 College of Engineering Alumni Awards were held on Saturday, April 23. The College of Engineering celebrated 24 alumni who have contributed to the profession, advanced their careers, and enhanced the lives of others.

Keith Hearon, B.M.S.E. ’09, received the Council of Outstanding Young Engineering Alumni Award. Hearon is the co-founder and CEO of Virex Health and Poly6 and serves as the chair of the MSE External Advisory Board.

Jennifer Bailey, B.Cer.E ’70, M.S.Cer.E. ’71, was awarded membership to the Engineering Hall of Fame. Bailey spent several years teaching pre-engineering classes at Walters State Community College, and then accepted a position with BASF that led to a 25-year career. Bailey’s husband, David Bailey, B.I.E. ’69 also received membership to the Engineering Hall of Fame. The Bailey’s have each provided endowed scholarships to students in their respective engineering schools and estate gift provisions in their wills in support of the schools.
