Dr. Wallace Carr, a Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, has been employed by Georgia Tech since 1978. His research has been primarily in the areas of thermal sciences in industrial fiber, carpet and textile processes, and digital printing. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, he worked with Monsanto Textiles Company for five years and was involved in processing synthetic fibers.
Dr. Carr is a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia and Virginia. His professional activities include: American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Fellow (2001), has chaired the Textile Engineering Division; Fiber Society, Member; Textile Institute, Fellow (2000); Sigma Xi, Scientific Research Society, Member; and Tau Beta Pi Honorary Society, Member.
