MSE Undergraduate Students Win Money for Prototype

Kevin Bogaert, Amelia Gonzalez, Hank Marcacci and Mike McDonald, undergraduate students in Dr. Sundaresan Jayaraman's MSE design course, received a  $200 prototype award for the 2014 InVenture Prize. The award money is to help build a prototype for  "specialized, tailored  shoes for football kickers with an improved upper, sole, lace placement and traction control.  The shoe has improved transference of energy from foot to ball through specialized material selection. There is an uninterrupted foot-to-ball contact surface for maximum contact area, which yields improved kick precision and accuracy. Additionally, there is asymmetrical traction control based on the function of each foot."

Congratulations to all!
